NZSS Annual General Meeting 2006

The NZSS Annual General Meeting will be held at Piopio School Hall on Saturday 21st October 2006, at 5 pm.

The New Zealand Speleological Society is led by an elected Council of up to nine. The Council encourages nominations for positions from as many afflicated clubs as possible so that the Council has a good overview of caving issues nationally.

Job descriptions are outlined in the NZSS Handbook, online at http://caves.org.nz or by contacting a current position holder.

The Positions are:

  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Membership/Information
  • Search & Rescue
  • Conservation
  • Training
  • Research

Nominations for all positions are to be received by the secretary in writing by Saturday 30th September 2006.

If more than one nomination is received for President a postal vote will be arranged. If there are no nominations by the closing date, written nominations received by the secretary after 30th September will be considered along with nominations called for at the Annual General Meeting.

In the event of no nominations being received for a position on Council, the retiring Council member shall be held to be re-elected, with their agreement.
